Jade Proctor
Attorney
As born and raised Madisonian, Jade attended Edgewood University where she earned her BS in Political Science. She then matriculated to UW Law school, earning a JD with a concentration in family law. During law school Jade participated in the Family Court Clinic providing legal information to those in need. She also was a substitute teacher during this time, working with middle schoolers– many of whom came from low-income families. This work grew her passion for family law and solidified her career plan.
Jade Proctor is an enthusiastic advocate for both adults and children through her direct representation as well as her work as a Guardian ad Litem. Jade understands that the results of the legal system can forever impact the lives of those involved. She uses compassion and understanding to make sure everyone’s story is heard. Her intellectual curiosity leads her to learn about new ways to best serve her clients.
When she is not helping clients, she can be found playing roller derby with Madison Roller Derby, or spending time watching birds with her orange cat.
Speeches & Presentations
Over 100 presentations to a variety of audiences including lawyers, judges, physicians, social workers, teachers, students, community based organizations, government agencies and the general public. Topics have included high net worth divorces, complex child custody disputes, psychological profiles of parents in child custody evaluations, child support for the self-employed or business owner, the enforceability of marital property agreements, alimony/maintenance with high net income parties; the unique legal issues in same-sex divorces, grandparent visitation rights, and resolving high conflict divorces.
